Our Mission

OCA AAPI Advocate East Bay promotes civic engagement and leadership towards the betterment of the AAPI communities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, working in tandem with OCA chapters nationwide.

Who We Are

The OCA-Asian American Advocates’ East Bay Chapter was established in 1987 to represent the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area, mainly focused on the City of Oakland. The East Bay Chapter is part of the larger network of OCA-Asian American Advocates, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1973 as the Organization of Chinese Americans, OCA is a national nonprofit organization consisting of over 100 chapters and affiliates across the country, dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States. OCA aims to embrace the hopes and aspirations of all Asian Pacific Americans in the United States.
