PickItUp Chinatown
Every month, we mobilize 40-50 community volunteers in Oakland Chinatown and take several pounds of waste out of our sidewalks, streets, and parks. It is an effort to keep our Chinatown community clean, welcoming, and to show pride for our heritage neighborhood. The goal of this effort is also to promote civic participation through feeling ownership of the neighborhood and hope to cultivate new leaders and advocates.
OCA provides all supplies (bags, gloves, pick-ups, and yellow vests).
